Incumetrics has considerable experience in electronic publishing. We have partnered with Grunwald Associates on a number of projects, including a large scale survey of SBIR awardees for the National Academies, strategy work for Education Week, and an analysis of badges and certifications in education for Digital Promise. Previous projects include two market assessment reports on behalf of Education Week, as well as consulting for other education and publishing companies such as Houghton Mifflin and the King trade journal group.
Previously, Dr. Gaster led two major initiatives:
Convergence was a comprehensive information resource covering telecommunications, cable networks, and the Internet, integrating information from more than 400 sources, in formats ranging from short articles to three hundred page reports, with full graphics. Originally publ8ished on CD, Convergence migrated to the web in 1996. Convergence was published in partnership with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, which provided approximately $1.5 million in funding.
LocalNet was current project designed to bring the power of the Internet to the needs of the local community, using a business model based on the projected savings from demand side management of electricity usage in conjunction with more traditional forms of online revenue such as advertising and subscriptions. LocalNet was developed in partnership with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).
LocalNet was funded by angel investors to develop a comprehensive Web-based platform for providing local services, information, and opportunities. Uniquely, LocalNet worked closely with local partners to implement a vision grounded in the local power of the Net.
